Taste of Abu Dhabi

We’ve compiled some of our tips to help your day go smoother.

Timing Is Everything – If you want to see certain Chefs, take part in the Beverage Theatre or join in a cooking class, plan – ahead and get there with good time to either sign up, or get a good seat.  We find that it’s often better to plan the trip over a few different days/timeslots to get the best out of the weekend and to not end up frazzled at the end.

Foodie Research – Wanna try some new dishes, or check out a new restaurant? This is the perfect place to do this, with smaller size portions available from 15/AED. Do your research on food, there will be plenty of different dishes to buy and try, we plan our food stops seriously, and walk along the entire line checking out the dishes on offer before going back to buy and try the dishes that have peaked our interest.

Don’t be Shy! – this is a perfect opportunity to say hi to some fantastic Chefs from across the world. Our experience is that they are usually friendly and have time to stop for a quick photo opportunity etc particularly if you approach them with a smile.

Parking – there will be 1000 car parking spaces available on site. Be prepared for a walk in the heat to get to the gates.

Taking the Kids? – Carriage Premier Lounge will offer a family-friendly area next to the Kids Zone for anyone bringing along children. “One area to avoid if you don’t have kids” says, Editor Debbie!

Take Plenty of Cash – There’s usually lots to buy whilst you are there from ingredients and gadgets through to books and kitchen equipment etc. Thankfully there’s an ATM on site for those unexpected purchases too!

Stay Hydrated and Cover Up – drink plenty and stay hydrated, wear sunscreen at daytime, unless you want crazy tan lines, and take a wrap or jumper for the evening, it can get chilly.

Have fun! And See you there?
