Moza Hantoush head chef and one of the founders has been passionate about cooking from a young age and infatuated with how food can make people happy so she wanted to share that with the world, “I want to feed people love, hope and passion”. All recipes are Hantoush’s own, some passed down from generation to generation and took years to perfect. Other founder Moza Al Shamsi is responsible for the scrumptious desserts and baked goods.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. The menu is eclectic inspired from all around the globe. Basically everyone’s favourite “exotic” dish; there is surely something for all.
What or who is the inspiration behind your start-up?
My mother, grandmother and best friend Moza Al Shamsi are the who’s and the what? My immense love for food, cooking and how it can transform moods.
Tell us why your business is the “best thing since sliced bread”
We are exactly like sliced bread! Comforting, delicious and simple. Our motto is OJ feeds you love, enough said!
Who is your hero in the business – the one that you aspire to be?
I would say all Emirati foodpreneurs are my heroes, for standing up strong and following their dreams regardless of fear and doubt.
What is your favorite item on your menu and why?
Honestly, the menu is made of all my favourite special dishes, things that I enjoy cooking at home for my loved ones.
What (lessons) have you learnt along the way that you would like to share with other foodpreneurs?
Patience and never giving up on your dream no matter how many people say it’s impossible, no matter how difficult your journey is, stand up for what you believe in and make it happen.
